Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick clap back at Twitter user for slut shaming

A user accused Mahira of having slept her way into the industry

Entertainment Desk December 20, 2019

Mahira Khan’s Twitter has been flooding with comments since the star tweeted a rather confusing statement yesterday. The celebrity was both lauded and criticised as people failed to understand whether she was addressing the Musharraf verdict or something completely different.

However, since surplus actors had voiced their opinions regarding the matter recently, her followers assumed she did the same. “Yehi toh rona hai, ke Allah ki laathi beawaaz hai. Awaaz aani chahiye laathi ki,” tweeted Khan.

This was followed by a thread of comments, from which a user outright accused Khan of having made her way into the industry, through the assistance of army officials.

Aap jaisi k***** ko dramon may high rank fauji officers dilwatay han. Isi liay namak halali karti ho warna aap jaisi 2 takay ki mujra karnay walon ki kia haisat hay muashray men.

“Women like you end up on Television through the help of these army officials that is why you tweet in their favour. Otherwise cheap dancers like you would have no respect in society.”

Mahira then responded to the user in a later comment, where she explained that she has earned her money rightfully, otherwise she would have used it to educate the user.“Aap ki zehniat aap ke lafzon mein saaf nazar aati hai. Meri kamai halal ki hai, warna aap ko achay school bhejnay ka zima mein uthati!” – “Your mentality reflects through your words. My money is hard-earned, otherwise I would have used it to send you to a decent school!”

She also defended other women in the industry by saying that ‘women like her’ do not put a price on themselves, nor do they look at others the same way. “Jahan tak baat rahi 2 takay ki.. hum jaisi auretein apney aap par qeemat nahi lagati, na hi kisi aur insaan par”

“As far as being cheap is concerned, women like myself do not run around with a price tag, nor do they look at others the same way.”

Her tweet was then re-shared by Humaima Malick who defended her and lauded her response. The celebrity held no remorse as she blatantly attacked the user with the same words.

“Bibi Jee hum sub tu apnay jawab dey gay tum kia moo lay k khuda k pass jaogi … jo Aik momin or woh bhi Aik aurat ko is tarha mukhatib karahi ho waqai bohat achi insaan or musalman ho tum”

“We all will provide our reasons but what reason will you provide accusing another Muslim and that too, a woman like that.”

She did not cease to comment on the thread either, as she continued to express disappointment towards the person’s use of language. “Waqai sharam ki intiha hai k ajj bhi log is tarha itnii pakeezgi sey paak honay k mushwaray daitay hain, mujhey lagta hai yeh k***** or k****** wala laafz bohat ahmiyat rakhta hai matlab standards set hai wah….. dua karti hon k logo ki soch haram or halal ki tarha pak bhi ho”

“Such a disgrace, people who pretend to be so pure and clean go out giving advice with this kind of language. What standards! I pray that people clear their mentality the way they have clarified their judgments of right and wrong.”

Shaan Shahid also responded on the thread, adding a similar notion. “Zubaan or alfaaz dono sai ap ka mayaar nazar ata hai. Bohat sharm a rahee hai apko Pakistani kehtay huway.

“Your words are reflecting your standards, I feel ashamed to call you a Pakistani.” He then lauded Khan in the process, “Mahira Khan is a Pakistani. She has earned her respect through her work. Learn to live with that,” concluded the star.
