AIOU’s first phase of admissions from January 15
The new system has made the process more efficient for the 1.4 million students

The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will open the first phase of admissions for its spring semester for 2020 from January 15.
This was announced by the varsity in a communiqué released on Wednesday.
The university further said that the academic programmes which will be offered for the upcoming semester include matriculation, Federal Arts (FA), Masters of Science (MS) and Masters in Philosophy (MPhil), Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) and Bachelors of Studies (BS). These programmes are being offered in the physical classrooms of the varsity.
The varsity started inducting students in two phases from the last semester. The new system has made the process more efficient for the 1.4 million students which are spread around the country. It was also aimed at streamlining the academic sessions for the timely mailing of books and conducting exams.
