Hamza filed post-arrest bails in Ramzan Sugar Mills case and assets disproportionate to his known sources of income case.
As the proceedings commenced, Justice Najafi said that Hamza Shehbaz had showed his distrust over the bench in the past and asked if the counsel had the instructions from the petitioner on it. Hamza Shehbaz’s counsel Advocate Amjad Pervez replied that the petitioner has full confidence on the court. Justice Najafi responded that it should be very clear if the counsel had clear instructions from the petitioner on it. The advocate replied that he had instructions from his client Hamza Shehbaz Sharif and he has full trust in the court.
He further argued that the decision was not made on their pre-arrest bail by the second bench as they had withdrawn the petition. Later, Justice Najafi issued notices to NAB and sought a reply on the post-arrest bails by January 13.
