Punjab Planning Board approves 184 schemes

Local govt schemes include construction of roads and installation of sewerage system

Bahawalpur Punjab Planning Board, in a meeting chaired by Bahawalpur Deputy Commissioner Shozab Saeed, approved 184 development schemes of local government at a cost of Rs342.87 million.

These local government schemes include the construction of roads, the installation of a sewerage system, water supply and repair of the sanitation system.


Out of the approved 184 schemes, 20 schemes were from Bahawalpur Metropolitan Corporation costing Rs37.2 million. A total of five schemes of Bahawalpur tehsil council will be completed at a cost of Rs10 million while 14 schemes of Hasilpur Municipal Committee costing Rs20 million, five schemes of Hasilpur tehsil council costing Rs7 million, seven schemes of Khairpur Tamewali Municipal Committee costing Rs20 million and two schemes of Khairpur Tamewali tehsil council will be completed at a cost of Rs11.25 million. A total of 13 schemes of Yazman Municipal Committee will be completed at a cost of Rs40.81 million while 31 schemes of Yazman tehsil council costing Rs46 million, 22 schemes of Ahmadpur East MC costing Rs49.85 million, 44 schemes of Ahmadpur East tehsil council costing Rs50.66 million and 16 schemes of Uch Sharif Municipal Committee costing Rs50 million will be completed.
