LARKANA: Lyari may be made a district under the new commissionerate system, hinted Sindh law minister, Ayaz Soomro, while talking to the media on Sunday.

This would follow the restoration of the five districts of Karachi which is no longer divided along town lines.

The restoration of the commissionerate system will allow people to get justice at their doorsteps as the black law of dictatorship will be abolished, said Soomro.

He said that the commissionerate system was the demand of the people of the province and under the vision of Benazir Bhutto, the system was restored.

Another bill will be presented in the Sindh Assembly to provide magisterial powers to the deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners and mukhtiarkars.
