Police arrived on the site after receiving the complaint and shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased was identified as 47-year-old Muhammad Ashraf, who was a resident of Nazimabad, according to the National Identity Card found from his possession.
Sohrab Goth Police Station Sub-Inspector Akbar said, however, that the deceased was a resident of Rabia Flower, which is located at Abul Hasan Isphahani Road and used to rent out his black Honda City car, bearing registration number AJT 580.
The victim had three bullet marks on his body. He was shot in his chest, abdomen and leg. Police said that the bullet shells were not found from the scene, while Ashraf's cellphone and his vehicle are still missing.

Police handed over the body to his brother, Mohammed Aslam, after completing legal formalities. The law enforcers are investigating the case from various angles.
Separately, another body of a man was found from the green belt of Shahra-e-Pakistan in the jurisdiction of Samanabad Police Station. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained yet.

Shooting incidents
A man, identified as Habibullah, 45, was shot and injured by robbers for putting up resistance during a robbery attempt, near Chakar Hotel, Faqeer Goth, in the jurisdiction of Super Highway Industrial Area Police Station. The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In a separate incident, a man, identified as 30-year-old Asfar Ali, was shot and injured. According to police, the shooting incident was a result of personal enmity and the victim was shot by Omar Baz.
Moreover, in the jurisdiction of Maghopir Police Station, a man was shot and injured during a scuffle with three other men. The 25-year-old Saad got into a heated argument with three unidentified men riding a motorcycle at a tyre shop. One of those men slapped Saad, on which he rushed to retrieve an iron rod kept in his car, however, before he could pick up the rod, the men shot him and fled from the spot.
The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Manghopir SHO Gul Awan said that they have obtained CCTC footage of the incident but faces of the motorcyclists are unclear. Police are, however, trying to trace the suspects.
