The divisional directorate of colleges (DDC) has warned owners of unregistered colleges in the private sector that stern action will be taken against them in addition to sealing their institutions if they are not registered within 90 days.
A team of eleven professors has been constituted to conduct a survey in the division regarding all the colleges openly operating without any formal registration. Six professors have been assigned the task of conducting surveys in Faisalabad, two each for District Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and one for Chiniot.
The Faisalabad Education division director said that no one was allowed to open a private college or enrol students without prior approval from the Education Department.
He further said that students who were studying at unregistered institutions would not be allowed to appear in the examinations.
The director advised stated that the owners of all unregistered colleges must apply for registration within 90 days or the institution would be sealed off.
