Three booked for cutting off nose of minor boy over ‘old enmity’

Police say accused committed the crime to avenge an old enmity with victim’s elders in Rajanpur

RAJANPUR: Police have registered a case against three men and arrested two of them for allegedly cutting the nose off of a 10-year-old student over an “old enmity”.

The accused cut Muhammad Ibrahim Baloch's nose, who is a resident of Mauza Dera Dildar, Rojhan Mazari, with a knife when he was coming back home from school on Saturday.

The injured was shifted to Rojhan hospital in a critical condition and was later referred to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.

The Rojhan Mazari DSP said that the accused, identified as Saifullah, Inamullah and Iqbal, cut the minor boy’s nose to avenge an old enmity with the victim’s elders.

The police lodged a case against the accused on the application of victim’s father and arrested Iqbal and Saifullah, who are brothers. Raids were being conducted for the arrest of Inamullah, the third person accused in the case.
