This was discussed in a meeting between Senior Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Tourism Atif Khan and Korean Ambassador Kwak Sung Kyu.
The two held a detailed discussion on the promotion of religious tourism in the province and Korean assistance to set up the centre.
The conference of Buddhist countries, he said, will aim to raise awareness about the Buddhist places in the province and draw greater attention to these sites.
The minister also briefed the envoy about the new tourism zones which will be set up in the province and offer good investment opportunities.
The Korean ambassador applauded the K-P government’s efforts for promoting religious tourism and assured all kinds of assistance in this regard.
