Police arrest 55 suspects in multiple raids

Sharafi Goth Police claimed to have apprehended six suspects and seized large amount of drugs from their custody

KARACHI: Shah Faisal Town Police claimed to have arrested 18 people for setting up encroachments and confiscated several items. Three cases have been registered against the arrested suspects, while 37 suspects were arrested during separate operations in different parts of the city.

Sharafi Goth Police claimed to have arrested seven suspects, identified as Naveed alias Mangola, Tahir, Nazim Gul, Mustansar Hussain, Kamran Masood alias Kali, Muhammad Imran Khan and Abdur Rehman in a raid conducted on a tip-off. The law enforcers seized seven pistols with 20 rounds from their possession.

Police claimed that the arrested individuals are involved in various criminal activities. Separate cases have been registered against the arrested suspects, while Naveed was already nominated in five cases of kidnapping and attempted murder. A further investigation against the suspects is underway.

In a separate operation, Sharafi Goth Police claimed to have apprehended six suspects, identified as Muhammad Hussain, Ghulam Shabbir, Rasheed Ahmed, Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Ikram and Kamran. According to police, a large quantity of narcotic substances was seized from their possession and a case was registered against them.

Police arrest eight suspects, seize weapons

Korangi Industrial Area Police claimed to have arrested a suspect, identified as Abdur Rehman and recovered a stolen mobile phone from his custody. Police said that Rehman is a street criminal and had been arrested previously in 2006 for stealing a motorcycle.

Moreover, Korangi Industrial Area Police claimed to have arrested drug peddlers Yousuf alias Afghani and Abdul Shakoor and seized a pistol with 4 rounds and 60 grams of hashish from their possession. Police have registered cases against the arrested suspects. Moreover, Abdur Rehman, who was on the run, was arrested in a separate operation and a stolen mobile phone was recovered from him.

Meanwhile, Zaman Town Police claimed to have arrested Khurram Maseeh and seized 516 grams of hashish from his possession and registered a case against him.
