Priyanka Chopra receives Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award

She was felicitated for her work as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights

Apart from becoming the most popular Bollywood celebrity and making her way to Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra has gained millions of followers through her humanitarian work and social activism. The actor is the global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights.

Following this, she was felicitated with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the 15th annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball, owing to her work as the ambassador, according to India Today.

Priyanka took to Instagram to thank UNICEF for the honour. She wrote, "I am in awe of the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of the people who work for #UNICEF. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this journey. To serve as your Goodwill Ambassador is the privilege of my life."

She also uploaded video of herself from the moment with the caption, "Philanthropy today has gone beyond just funding projects. Be disruptive, show compassion and care, be catalytic in our actions and solutions. Giving back is no longer a choice, it has to be a way of life."

Inspired by his wife, Priyanka's husband Nick Jonas commented on the picture saying, "So inspired by you everyday. Congratulations beautiful."
