ISLAMABAD: With even developed western countries struggling with protecting rights of children with there a dire need to find a solution to this pressing issue, France on Wednesday called for taking steps to protect the rights of children and offered assistance in that regard.

This was stated by French Ambassador March Barety on Wednesday while addressing a ceremony organised at the screening of a French documentary on children’s rights at the Alliance Francaise (French cultural centre) in Islamabad.

Barety said that children are the most valuable asset of a country and it was the nation’s responsibility to provide them with education, health, and basic rights so that they can become the decision-makers of the future.
