Abidi murder case: Counsels ordered to ensure attendance at the next hearing

ATC has declared four accused on the run as absconders in the case and has issued permanent arrest warrants for them

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) directed on Tuesday the counsels of the accused to ensure their presence at the next hearing of the Ali Raza Abidi murder case.

Accused Farooq, Ghazali, Abu Bakr and Abdul Haseeb were produced before the court. The ATC expressed annoyance over the absence of the defence counsels. The court directed the counsels to appear at the next hearing and adjourned the case till December 6.

The first witness against the accused was supposed to be presented before the court at the hearing on Tuesday. The ATC has declared four accused on the run as absconders in the case and has issued permanent arrest warrants for them.

The absconders include Hasnain, Bilal, Ghulam Mustafa alias Kali Charan and Faizan.
