LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge granted pre-arrest bails to two students Ammar Ali Jan and Kamal Khan in alleged charges of high treason as well as delivering hate speeches against the state institutions.

The judge summoning police record by December 16 granted bails to accused students against furnishing bail bonds of Rs50,000 each.

The petitioner’s counsel implored the court that accused persons have been implicated in the forged case by the police merely to show its efficiency despite the accused students had nothing to do with this case. He informed the court that the government was using its powers against students which tantamount to suppressing their voice.

Meanwhile, a judicial magistrate of Cantt Court sent an activist student Alamgir Khan on a 14-day judicial remand under alleged high treason charges as well as delivering hate speeches against state institution.
