25 couples tie nuptial knot at mass wedding

Jalal appreciated efforts of Balochistan FC for arranging a successful programme for the newly married couples

QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) Awaran Militia organised a mass wedding ceremony in which at least 25 couples tied the nuptial knot here in the Hushab area of Lasbela district the other day.

Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal was the special guest.

Addressing the ceremony, she said the incumbent federal and provincial governments were taking serious measures to ensure welfare of common people in all parts of the country, including Balochistan.

The defence production minister said the central regime under leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted to develop Balochistan in order to remove prolonged backwardness of the province.

She said in this context, provincial government was being supported by the central government under a comprehensive method for maintaining durable progress of the province as ‘Balochistan's development was significant for the country.’

Jalal appreciated efforts of Balochistan FC for arranging a successful programme for the newly married couples, and said FC was playing a vital role in the development of different fields, including education, health, supply of water and curbing menace of terrorism.

She also congratulated newly married couples and prayed for their successful and happy lives in the future.

Commander Sector South and Commandant FC Awaran Militia joined the wedding ceremony and said this was the first time in Lasbela's history that a collective wedding ceremony was arranged, vowing that the ‘generous initiative’ would continue in a bid to help the poor segments of society.

Bunny Rabbit | 4 years ago | Reply I am happy that senseless spending on shows like clothes , wedding sets, lavish menus are reduced this way . The focus is more on the groom and the bride .
