Development not possible without education: DC Quetta

Says, stern action will be taken against staff and teachers who remain absent from schools

QUETTA: Quetta Deputy Commissioner Aurangzeb Badini emphasised importance of education and the role it has played in the development of all segments of society to promote and improve literacy in Balochistan.

“Measures will be taken to promptly restore inactive schools in Quetta,” said the DC during a district education group meeting attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Saqib Khan Kakar, district education officers and senior officials.

Badini said every possible step will be taken to address problems in education sector. The DC said: “Stern action will be taken against staff and teachers who remain absent from schools.”

The DC clarified that transfers and attachments would not be sanctioned without the approval of the relevant committee. Stressing the vision of the provincial government to provide education to every child, the DC said development cannot be achieved in the country without higher literacy rate.
