Higher yield to be gained through technology: Punjab Agriculture Dept
Vegetables cultivated in the tunnel should be provided with irrigation and fertilisers in a timely manner
MULTAN:
Farmers can get better production of vegetables through the use of tunnel farming technology, said Punjab Agriculture Department officials on Saturday. They said that the vegetables cultivated in the tunnel should be provided with irrigation and fertilisers in a timely manner.
In order to achieve the best results in cultivation, dissolve the solids in a drum and provide the vegetables via irrigation, they added. “Do not close the tunnel after spraying and using fertilisers so that the gas does not cause any damage.”
During the day, from 9 am to 4 pm, the mouth of the tunnel should be opened on both sides so that no deposition of the excess moisture inside the tunnel could occur which usually cause diseases, they recommended. “Put an exhaust fan inside the tunnel so that excessive moisture is removed and the temperature is adjusted.”
