ATC sends MQM-L ‘target killer’ on judicial remand

The case was registered against him under the Sindh Arms Act, the Explosive Substances Act

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) sent on Thursday the Muttahida Qaumi Movement- London’s alleged target killer, Yousuf alias Thelaywala, to jail on judicial remand, while hearing a case registered against him under the Sindh Arms Act and the Explosive Substances Act.

The administrative judge who heard the case also directed that the case challan be submitted to the court at the next hearing. Thelaywala was presented before the judge at the hearing.

According to police, Thelaywala killed a trader in Orangi Town for not paying extortion money. He is also accused of killing army and Air Force officials, government employees and workers of various political parties, the police said, adding that he has been involved in target killing since 1995.
