Volleyball player falls to death

Federal police were investigating whether the incident was a murder or an accident

ISLAMABAD: The police have recovered the body of a national level volleyball player outside a building located in a private housing society in precincts of Lohi Bher police station on Tuesday.

The victim, Chaudhry Mohsin, had come to Islamabad from Gujjar Khan for attending a party his friends had thrown to celebrate his selection in the team going to Dubai for a match. Mohsin apparently died due to head injury after falling from the fifth floor of the flat, where he was partying with his friends who had also brought along three unidentified women.

However, the federal police were investigating whether the incident was a murder or an accident. Operations DIG Waqaruddin Syed has constituted an investigation team under SSP Rural. The police have handed over the body to the family after conducting post-mortem.
