Five-day polio drive to begin from Dec 16: DC Naseerabad

At least 433 patrolling mobile teams will take part in the door-to-door campaign in 33 union councils

QUETTA: Five day anti-polio campaign will commence from December 16 till 20 in Naseerabad to step up efforts against the virus. Naseerabad Deputy Commissioner Zafar Ali Baloch Muhammad Shahi emphasised that all available resources should be utilised to complete the campaign according to the prescribed targets.

Deputy Commissioner while addressing a meeting regarding the campaign in Dera Murad Jamali said the whole society, specially media and the ulemas should play their active role in spreading awareness about the repercussions of the virus.

Meeting was also informed that at least 433 patrolling mobile teams will take part in the door-to-door campaign in 33 union councils. Polio workers will be deputed at 30 transit and exit points and 36 fixed sites, it was discussed.

Assistant Commissioner Dera Murad Jamali Ghulam Hussain Bhangar, Ali Muhammad Bhanbai, ADH Doctor Manzoor Ahmed Abro, Doctor Abdul Ghaffar Solangi, Divisional coordinator World Health Organization Naseerabad Doctor Muhammad Rafiq Ghunio, Sanaullah Khan Chakra and other individuals concerned attended the meeting.
