Temperature in Karachi begins to fall

KARACHI:
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that fog will continue to engulf Karachi in the mornings till Saturday. As a consequence of fog, visibility will decrease and it is likely that the city's residents will experience the effects of the fog at night too, predicted PMD.

Fog has blanketed the metropolis over the past few days, as the temperature in Karachi began to fall. Similarly, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy and foggy today (Thursday) and the temperature is expected to drop to 18 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature expected to be recorded today is between 30 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius.


On Wednesday, clouds hovered over the city and visibility was reduced to 2.5 kilometres due to fog. The minimum temperature recorded on the day was 18 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature recorded was 30.5 degrees Celsius.

The city experienced northwestern winds blowing at 20 kilometres per hour and the humidity level remained at 52%.
