QUETTA: The united opposition in Balochistan on Wednesday predicted that December and January will be the last months of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan was ‘nervous’ following his last speech against the opposition leaders.

Addressing a news conference in Quetta, senior leader of Jamiat UIema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and MNA Maulana Abdul Wasay, Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party’s lawmaker Nasrullah Zeray, provincial President Pakistan Peoples Party Haji Ali Madad Jattak, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz Balochistan leader Jamal Shah Kakar, National Party’s Abdul Khaliq Baloch and Awami National Party’s Mabat Kaka announced to stage rallies and protests across the province following the Plan C of JUI-F’s Azadi March.

“Pretending to be a monarch, Imran Khan has been threatening the opposition leaders but his bitter tone unveiled his nervousness instead,” members of the united opposition said, adding that government’s intimidation cannot deter them from protesting against the ‘selected’ regime.

The provincial JUI-F leader announced Plan C of Maulana Fazalur Rehman’s Azadi March and declared that on Friday the opposition parties will stage rallies and demonstrations against the PTI government across the province.

“The federal government was filtering hearsays of differences between the opposition parties but today rifts have surfaced between the PTI and its coalition partners,” said Wasay as he claimed that opposition parties proved their strength in Islamabad’s Azadi March.

Speaking on the occasion, former minister and PkMAP’s leader Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said that their party has established an alliance with the opposition to demand free and fair elections in the country.

“The united opposition parties are standing firm on their demand for Prime Minister’s resignation and supremacy of parliament and Constitution in Pakistan,” Ziaratwal mentioned.

Balochistan President of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Haji Ali Madad Jattak also slammed the central government for arresting opposition leaders on fake corruption allegations.

“The PTI government is standing on the pillars of rigging and can’t move forward because its final days have been numbered,” Jattak added.

Meanwhile, provincial General Secretary of ANP Mabat Kakar and NP’s Abdul Khaliq Baloch announced their full support to the JUI-F on Plan C.

The PML-N Balochistan Secretary General and former speaker Balochistan Assembly Jamal Shah Kakar lamented federal ministers’ rhetoric over party supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif’s health and said the court has given him relief and allowed treatment in London.
