Student attendance rises in October

PESHAWAR: A monthly review of district education officers across the province showed that attendance of students had increased while around half of all officers met their targets. The attendance of students also increased.

The District Performance Scorecard (DPS) of district education officers (DEOs) was reviewed for October in a meeting chaired by the new Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Elementary and Secondary Education Department (ESED) Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry at the directorate.

The meeting was also attended by ESE Director Dr Hafiz Ibrahim, Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU) Project Director Ziaul Haq, and all DEPs.

The DPS, created with technical assistance from DFID, showed that of the 56 DEO Officers (28 male and 28 female) in the settled districts, 29 achieved their target of student attendance rate.
