Facebook reveals features that enhance user experience and this time around the social network has introduced a feature that allows you to edit your shortcut bar in the iOS app.

According to TechCrunch, the new feature enables the user to omit individual items from the bar that show red notification dots.

You could turn on the updated feature by long-pressing on an item in between those icons such as Groups, News, Marketplace, Profile and Watch in the shortcut bar which will direct you to the pop-up menu allowing you to turn notification dots on or off.

These icons can be easily added back to the shortcut bar, under the Settings -Notification dots, where you can turn on and off the red notification dots.

This way users will not be disturbed constantly with notifications on emails that are not of their interest.

The feature has rolled out for iOS users and will be available shortly on Android.
