KARACHI:
Sindh Private Institutions Director Dr Mansoob Siddiqui has issued a notice to the principal of Beacon Light School, a private school in Gulshan-e-Maymar, following reports of alleged rape of a minor boy by the school's lower staff.

The notice states that it has come to the knowledge of the department through social media that a four-year-old boy was raped by two of the employees of the school and an FIR has been registered on behalf of the boy's parents at Gulshan-e-Maymar Police Station.

According to the notice, the school's authorities have been directed to submit a detailed report of the incident within 24 hours of the issuance of the notice.

The boy's grandfather has said in his statement that his grandson complained of pain after returning from school on November 5, around 1pm. Later, on checking, his mother found the skin around his anus to have developed redness and that his uniform was stained with stool, he said, adding that the boy then informed his mother of the incident. He said that they went to the school the next day [on November 6] to inquire about the incident.

Man accused of ‘rape attempt’ forgiven by victim’s family

According to the victim's grandfather, the boy has identified the two employees who allegedly raped him as Niaz and Zulfiqar. Moreover, he has identified the room in the school's building where the incident took place, he said.

Meanwhile, Gulshan-e-Maymar Police, after registering an FIR against the offence, has transferred the case to the investigation police. The boy has also undergone a medical examination at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, following which an initial report has been issued.

However, when contacted, the principal of Beacon Light School claimed the medico-legal report "has come out negative doesn't prove the rape." Whereas, while, the initial report issued by the hospital suggests that there were no apparent signs of violence, except for erythema [redness] around the anus, conclusive results will only be ascertained after the issuance of the chemical report.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, the school's principal said that the school's administration is cooperating with the boy's parents and the accused peon and the security guard have been detained by the police. "We are ready to fully cooperate with the police," he said, however, adding that why didn't the parents visit the doctor first.
