Police register case for infant’s kidnapping
Case registered against the owner, several doctors and paramedical staff of the hospital
KARACHI:
An infant, who was allegedly kidnapped two days ago from a private hospital in Qayyumabad, has not been found so far.
The Korangi Industrial Area Police, in the presence of the kidnapped child's father, registered a case, against the owner, several doctors and paramedical staff of the hospital.
Muhammad Sajid, the child's father, blamed the hospital management for his missing child and named the owner of the hospital Dr Zia, Dr Nida, Dr Rehman, Nafeesa, paramedical staff and management in the case.
"The ultrasound report showed that the babies were twins but only a daughter was handed over to them, while the boy is missing," he said, while talking to media outside the Korangi Industrial Area Police Station. "Hospital management misbehaved with us instead of giving a proper response."

The family maintained that they have been running from pillar to post helplessly.
They demanded the higher authorities to take action against the hospital management.
After the registration of the case, police raided the hospital, where they seized the ultrasound machine and interrogated technician Nafeesa, while the hospital management and several others locked their rooms from inside and no one including police was permitted to enter there.
Police recorded the statement of Nafeesa, a nominated suspect in the case, and allowed her to go home, whereas the complainant asked for her arrest. The police officer said that he was not accompanied by a lady constable hence he could not arrest her.
