Funeral prayers of two elite force personnel offered at Rajanpur Police Lines

Nine people, including five personnel of law enforcement agencies, were killed in Dera Ghazi Khan range in two separate incidents on Sunday.
In the first incident that took place in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kot Mubarak, District DG Khan, personnel of elite force was killed during an encounter with notorious Ladi robbers gang while two criminals along with one passer-by named Muhammad Hussain, were also killed during an exchange of fire with police.
While talking to the media persons, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Imran Ahmad said police started following the Ladi gang following a tip-off that the robbers of Ladi gang who has attacked Jiani tribesmen, on retaliation Ladi gang opened fire on police and a personnel of an elite force Muhammad Suleman Jarwar suffered bullets wounds and died on the spot. A local passer-by Muhammad Hussain was also caught in the crossfire. Two robbers Abdullah and Haider from Ladi gang were also killed in an exchange of fire with law enforcement agencies.
Police register case for infant's kidnapping
DPO Asad Sarfraz Khan reached the site of the incident. The search operation and police encounter continued for several hours. The martyred police personnel and the injured were shifted to the teaching hospital.
Meanwhile, RPO Imran Ahmar reached the hospital and inquired after the wounded personnel and monitored the first aid service and rescue operation.
Afterwards, the funeral prayer of the martyred police personnel Suleman was offered at the Police Line. The funeral prayer was attended by Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Hanif Khan Pitafi, RPO Imran Ahmar, SP Jalil Imran Ghalzai, DPO Asad Sarfaraz, Rangers Colonel Mohammad Shahid and hundreds of locals. Police have registered the case of anti-terrorism against eight accused.
Police Lines insufficient for growing number of personnel
In another incident, in Rajanpur area, near Arbi Tibba in the jurisdiction of Rojhan police station, two personnel of law enforcement agencies, two constables of elite force and a local passer-by Nawaz Shehbai were killed during the firing of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists.
The area was surrounded by the Border Military Police (BMP) and Punjab Police afterwards. Police sources said that following a tip-off that some unidentified BLA members were taking refuge at Arbi Tibba, the police teams raided the area to arrest them. As the police teams approached closer, the terrorists opened fire on them. Afterwards, an officer of the BMP Moazzam Mazari and DSP Meherdin Mazari reached the spot and cordoned off the area, however, the suspects made their way successfully. Meanwhile, police and law enforcement agencies continued search operations in the area.
The funeral prayers of the two elite force personnel were offered at Police Line Rajanpur, attended by RPO Imran Ahmar, DPO and other officers. The bodies of martyred personnel were sent to Khanewal.
