Action to be taken against profiteers

There will be strict monitoring of the process of selling fruits, vegetables at markets on a daily basis

SARGODHA: Shopkeepers and traders are exploiting the general public by creating self-inflation, said Provincial Minister for Human Resources and Development Ansar Majeed Niazi.

He was addressing a meeting to review the performance of price control magistrates (PCMs) at Commissioner House on Tuesday.

The minister directed the divisional administration that non-discriminatory action should be taken against the black marketers and profiteers. He added that self-inflation, short measurement, adulteration, stock, sale of unhygienic edibles and the sale of expired medicines will not be tolerated at any cost. Niazi directed the price control magistrates for making sure the strict monitoring of the process of auction at fruit and vegetable markets on a daily basis.
