QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Monday lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s flagship scholarship programme for the needy persons from low income background that was launched earlier during the day in Islamabad.

“The Governor House Quetta has started its work on the pilot project with the help of relevant departments and consultants,” he said while talking to a delegation, led by Agriculture Director General Juma Khan Tareen, which called on him in Quetta.

The two sides had a detailed discussion on creating new possibilities for the masses. The governor highlighted that Balochistan could become an important centre of agriculture and livestock in the country because of its “unique climate”.

Yasinzai said: “Government revenues can be increased by developing many sectors, including science and technology. Investments in such sectors will be beneficial for the province and country.”
