Taking to Twitter, the Roxen frontman said, "It’s been a month since I lost my father. The doctors voice still echos in my ears.'His lungs have been compromised because of excessive smoking.' If you have a smoking parent, go to them right now, fight with them, argue with them, do whatever it takes but never ever let them smoke."

Agreeing with Zahid, guitarist Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, better known as Xulfi, shared he lost his father to smoking as well. "Please stop smoking. This message from Mustafa Zahid is a feeling I’ve felt when I lost my father too," the Nescafe Basement producer wrote. "Please stop for yourself and for those around you, your family, your loved ones, your friends."

Earlier, actor Sheheryar Munawar also made a point to ask his fans and followers to quit. "Smoking is a disgusting habit which I’ve struggled with and hopefully can kick it soon," the Paray Hut Love star said on Instagram. "To all the kids reading this, don’t take it up! It’s not cool."
He then added, "However, for some reason all my photographer friends feel it has a cinematic appeal to it when taking pictures.
So what I’ve decided is that If I do put up such pictures, I’ll always put a disclaimer with the caption: smoking kills."
