KARACHI: Police have yet to trace two persons who went missing from the limits of Pak Colony Police Station around a week ago. A case pertaining to kidnapping of the two persons was registered on Saturday. The family of the missing persons claims that the police are not cooperating in their recovery.

According to the family, Muhammad Irfan and his brother-in-law, Fawad Raza, left their house on October 20 to get food at around 8pm. Fiza, Irfan’s wife, called Irfan at 9pm and he said that they were at Rexor Bridge and would be home in a while. However, they have been missing since then and there mobile phones are switched off, said Irfan’s brother, Salman.

According to Salman, Irfan suffers from mental illness and is undergoing treatment. He works in a garment factory and has four children. Salman said that the family does not have any personal enmities or political affiliation but they suspect that the missing persons were kidnapped by a drug peddler named Maya. There is a den of drug dealers near Rexor Bridge, claimed Salman.
