Two constables injured in DI Khan IED blast

PESHAWAR: At least two police constables were seriously injured while the vehicle was partially damaged in an IED blast in the limits of Kulachi police station in the Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday, the local police told The Express Tribune over the phone.

The constables received shrapnel wounds, while ASI Fazal Rehman remained unhurt. The team was patrolling in their mobile to check the arrangements for a political gathering of MNA Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, when a roadside IED went off shattering the windshield and windows of the vehicle.

After the incident a search operation and sniffer dogs were brought to the area, but no details of any arrest have been shared with the media.

The district police officer later visited the district headquarter hospital and directed the hospital administrations to provide best health facilities to the injured policemen in the blast.
