In a recent turn of events, actor Shahid Kapoor has revealed who he would consider for the lead roles if Padmaavat was to be remade. He was speaking on an episode of Neha Dhupia's chat show #NoFilterNeha.
When asked who he would recast in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's masterpiece, the Kabir Singh star claimed that the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam's trio would do wonders in a film like that, i.e. Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ajay Devgn.
Padmaavat was based on 16th century poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi's poem Padmavat. It starred Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, Shahid as Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh and Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati.
According to News18, Shahid also gave a relationship advice to his rumoured ex Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas, saying that they need to familiarise with each other's backgrounds in order to understand each other better.
"Understand each other's backgrounds as well as you can because you're from very different backgrounds," he said.
In response to this, Shahid was asked about his take on his brother, Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor's relationship. He responded, "They just need to balance work and personal space."
