LAHORE: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (rerd) Liaqat Ali Malik has said drivers without driving licence were a risk to the lives of citizens.

He expressed these views during a seminar on traffic awareness organised by the City Traffic Police, for the transporters, at Badami Bagh Lorry Ada on Tuesday.

Addressing the seminar, the CTO said transporters and traffic police should be connected openly. He said drivers who had no driving licence were a risk to the lives of citizens. “I assure you to provide my full support in obtaining a driving licence, CTO said while addressing transporters.” He further said committees have also been constituted to address the problems of the transporters.

“We want to work with transporters and we would never allow anybody to blackmail transporters.”
