Heavy Vehicles Forum to promote trucking industry

ISLAMABAD: An investor forum will be held today (Wednesday) for highlighting the opportunities in the automobile sector to be implemented on public-private partnership modality. The Infrastructure Project Development Facility (IPDF) is assisting Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) in selection of a private party with exclusive rights to promote North Benz prime mover vehicles for the entire country under Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis, according to the statement. The existing infrastructure and capacity of HIT will be utilised for the production of Euro-III North Benz prime mover. The statement said that HIT, National Logistic Cell and North China Industries Corporation are equal shareholders in the proposed joint venture.
