DUBAI: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge headed back to the UK on Friday after a memorable five day official tour of Pakistan.

Before the tour even commenced, there were multiple predictions about what the Duchess might wear. Some speculated she would channel the late Princess Diana while others thought she would bring in her own twist to the Royal wardrobe.

Staying true to her style, Kate wowed onlookers each time she came out in public, from the time she stepped off of the Royal carrier in Islamabad upon their arrival.

While Kate donned quite a few local brands during her stay in Pakistan, she also took the old-school route with an outfit or two and opted for her favourite designer Catherine Walker.

Here's a lowdown of the ensembles The Duchess of Cambridge flaunted with flair.

The blues

Kate stunned in an ombre turquoise Catherine Walker dress with matching pants as she walked out of the British Royal aircraft on Monday night. The layered drape added elegance to her look. She paired the attire with nude heels and earrings from the Pakistani brand Zeen. Her first look set the benchmark high for ones that followed.

For her first look of day two, Kate chose to wear celebrated Pakistani designer Maheen Khan. Dressed in an ink blue shalwar kameez, the duchess exuded major Princess Diana vibes as her outfit looked heavily inspired from her late mother-in-law.

The greens

Kate wore a number of green ensembles too, in an attempt to pay homage to the host country. While meeting Prime Minister Imran Khan, she chose to wear a green tunic by Catherine Walker, white Maheen Khan trousers and a printed stoll from Bonanza Satrangi. She completed her look with dark green pumps and blow-dried hair.

For an official dinner the same night, Kate dazzled in a heavily embellished Penny Jackham green dress. The dinner was attended by the who's who of the Pakistani showbiz industry.

One of the most important visits of their trip was to Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. Kate once again donned a green Maheen Khan ensemble and a headscarf. The duchess was lauded for her choice of attire.

The whites

White also seemed like a popular choice in Kate's wardrobe for this trip. The duchess donned an Ideas Pret white kurti and slacks as she arrived in Lahore with a matching shawl by Maheen Khan.

She then wore a bespoke Elan white outfit as she was spotted at the tarmac to head back to Islamabad. For her last outfit, the duchess wore a stylish monochrome outfit.

The Chitrali wear

On their third day, the couple headed to the northern region of the country. They received a warm welcome from the locals of Kalash and Chitral. The Royals were gifted traditional Kalasha and Chitrali outfits, including the signature hat, Pakol.

The duchess seemed ecstatic over the clothing and colours displayed by the Kalasha.
