The official handle of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid homage to Princess Diana as they reminisce her visit to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.

"In 1996 and 1997 Diana, Princess of Wales visited the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, a state-of-the-art cancer facility located in the centre of Lahore," the post read. "Over twenty years on, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the children’s ward at the hospital today to spend time with patients undergoing treatment, and speak to their families."
PHOTO: REUTERSPrincess Diana was a strong supporter of the Cancer Hospital which was founded by Imran Khan. She visited Pakistan in 1996 and 1997 to spend time with the Cancer patients and also inaugurate the hospital. The people of Pakistan still remember the Princess of Wales for her kindness and love for humanity.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have followed the footsteps of late Princess Diana on many occasions during this trip. They visited Chitral where they were presented with a collection of Princess Diana’s photos from her trip to the valley in 1991.
PHOTO: FILEKate Middleton wore a blue shalwar kameez in Pakistan which is similar to what Princess Diana wore. Prince William and Kate Middleton will also visit the famous Mughal monument Badhshai Mosque which had been visited by Diana in 1991.
Visiting the Shukat Khanum Memorial Hospital is also a part of the same journey. Prince William has been reminded of his mother Princess Diana many times during the trip.
