ISLAMABAD: The federal Government Poly Clinic Hospital Director Dr Shoaib found a tout convincing people at the public health facility to get their tests done from a private pathological laboratory.

The man was handed over to Aabpara police.

The alleged laboratory mafia was active in Polyclinic with the collusion of hospital staff. These people roam the wards and the hallways looking for simple people they could convince to get their tests done from private labs against payment instead of getting the same facility absolutely free from the hospital.

The authorities finally caught the man who took patients to private laboratories to earn commission on every client he brought in.

Polyclinic spokesman Dr Shareef Astori said that they were after the said person for quite some time. He said that the action became successful due to the formation from various sources and strict vigilance.

Dr Astori said the tout would take unsuspecting patients to private laboratories on the pretext of cheaper rates and received a commission from them for generating business.
