The plan, worth Rs250 million, will include the construction of new emergency and radiology departments and a 60-bed pediatric department. Moreover, the capacity of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will be increased.
Capital’s hospitals lack waste disposal facilities
On directions of Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the administration of the Islamic International College Trust has sent the complete plan to the relevant authorities for approval.
The Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of PRH Rawalpindi told The Express Tribune that a 10-bed emergency ward in the hospital will be shifted to the new building where 15 beds will be added to enhance its capacity to 25.
He added that seven new beds will also be added to ICU to nearly double its capacity to 15-beds.
