SARGODHA: The District Quality Control Board has decided to send nine cases of quacks to the drug courts and issued strict warnings to four, who were involved in the selling of medicines without drug licenses or warranties.

The meeting of the Quality Control Board was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Bilal Feroz. He was accompanied by Health CEO Dr Riaz Ahmed, Secretary Board Zafar Iqbal, Drug Inspector Saqib and other board members.

The additional deputy commissioner said quacks were the enemy of the humanity and they could not be forgiven. He directed the drug inspectors to seal medical stores that were operating without drug sales licenses and file lawsuits against the owners. “The sale of medical drugs is a service to humanity. It should not be authorised to raise capital only,” he said. “Do not neglect the institutions in fulfilling their responsibilities against these social enemies and back up to them,” he said.
