Pakistan lodges strong protest with India against LoC firing
The Pakistan Army retaliated and targeted several Indian posts in retaliation.
"Pakistan Army troops targeted Indian Army posts in response. Post substantially damaged. Reports of casualties to Indian troops,” said the ISPR in its statement.
India has long been breaching the 2003 ceasefire agreement with Pakistan by shelling and firing over the LOC.
After the Indian occupation forces violated the same peace accord again on October 6 and October 7, the Foreign Office had summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia last Tuesday and protested strongly.
New Delhi was urged to respect the ceasefire, instruct the Indian forces to respect it, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LOC and the Working Boundary (WB).
