Jinnah Town: Rs449 million budget approved

FAISALABAD: Jinnah Town has approved a budget of Rs449.45 million with no new taxes for the year 2011-12. The approval was given in a meeting held here on Monday with Jinnah Town Administrator Muhammad Asif Chaudhry in the chair. As per details, Rs26 million will be collected through property transfer tax while Rs4.03 million will be generated from Slaughter House Madanpura. Similarly, profit on investment would be Rs5 million while Rs90.24 million would be received under the head of government grant, a spokesman said. Giving details of expenditures, he said Rs60.95 million will be spent on employees’ salaries while Rs42.28 million was set aside for miscellaneous expenditures. Necessary expenditures have been worked out at Rs5.36 million while Rs53.63 million has been earmarked for repair and maintenance work.
