Robbers flee with cop’s cash, pistol in Quaidabad

KARACHI: Robbers cornered a cop on Monday morning, as he left the bank after withdrawing cash, in the jurisdiction of Quaidabad Police Station. They took off with Rs170,000, and his officially licenced weapon. Police officer Majid, who is deployed at Sukhan Police Station, was leaving the bank after withdrawing money when two men on a motorcycle began chasing him. They intercepted him shortly, snatched money from him at gunpoint, took his pistol, and fled. A case was registered at Quaidabad Police Station on behalf of Majid and investigation has been initiated.
