‘Govt protecting minorities’ rights’
PTI the government was taking effective steps to protect the rights of minorities
LAHORE:
Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Ijaz Alam Augustine stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was taking effective steps to protect the rights of minorities. He expressed these views on Monday while meeting with representatives from minority communities belonging to different districts here at his office. The minister maintained that the culture of intolerance has damaged our social and political culture. He said that the Punjab government’s human rights policy ensures the rights of children, women, minorities, the differently-abled, senior citizens and transgender persons.
