Ziarat Residency case verdict on 14th

QUETTA: An anti-terrorism court in Quetta has reserved verdict in the Ziarat residency attack case on Friday. The case was heard by judge Rahim Dad Khilji. During the proceedings, all individuals related to the case have recorded their statements. The judge concluded the case along with the arguments by the end of the hearing and reserved the verdict. Of the 13 accused in the case, 11 are currently on bail. The court will announce the judgment on October 14. The case remained under trial for approximately six years. On June 15, 2013, the terrorists of banned organization Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) attacked the historical Quaid-e-Azam Residency with hand grenades, which completely burnt the building and left a policeman dead. The historical building was later rebuilt and brought back to its original glory by the government and was then inaugurated on August 14, 2014. Ziarat, a tourist point of Balochistan, is visited by a large number of tourists every summer.
