Commission issues monthly report on missing persons

The Missing Persons Commission Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal along with other members have concluded 4,140 cases by September 30, said a monthly progress report on cases of enforced disappearances. The total number of cases registered by the end of August this year was 6,332. During the month of September, the commission has conducted 483 hearings out of which 234 were heard in Islamabad, 39 in Peshawar, 115 in Karachi and 95 cases were heard in Quetta. The relatives of the missing persons have lauded the efforts of the chairman and other members of the commission for taking a personal interest in locating their dear ones.
