Prince William and Kate Middleton visit the Aga Khan Centre in London

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met Prince Karim Aga Khan to understand modern Pakistani culture

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Aga Khan Centre to meet Prince Karim Agha Khan in central London, where they conversed with members from the Pakistani community, ahead of their official visit to Pakistan next month.

During their visit, Kate Middleton was seen wearing a chic teal-and-emerald long-sleeve dress, while Prince William donned a navy suit. The duchess sported the rich, silk look with a green fabric belt at the waist and bow details at the sleeves. She accessorized with dangling ceramic earrings, a deep green velvet clutch, and matching pumps.

The 82-year-old billionaire and spiritual inspiration for several Ismailis across the world, Aga Khan, hosted the event to showcase the contemporary Pakistani culture at the Aga Khan Centre in King's Cross. According to Harper's Bazaar, William and Kate visited the centre to  become familiar with just that, given the Duke and Duchess will be coming to Pakistan on a four-day official trip, on October 14.



“The official visit to Pakistan by Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will take place between Monday 14th and Friday 18th October,” quoted a statement issued by the British High Commission in Pakistan.

The royal couple had a detailed conversation with the  Prince about their upcoming visit. While Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Nafees Zakaria, also accompanied them at the end of the event.



When the visit was first announced in June, Zakaria, said in a statement that "the Government and the people of Pakistan warmly welcome" the news and "still cherish" the queen's past visits.
