Develop new tourist spots in Punjab says adviser to CM

He added that the country has great tourism potential which should be commercially exploited

RAWALPINDI: Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister on Tourism and Horticulture Asif Mehmood on Wednesday said there was a need to develop new tourist spots in the province. He said this during a meeting with officials of Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP). During the meeting at the TDCP office, the officials discussed steps required for promotion of tourism in Punjab and provision of facilities to people. TDCP Managing Director Tanveer Jabbar briefed about ongoing projects and problems. Mehmood directed the authorities to complete tourism-related projects at earliest as well as to take steps for promotion of tourism in the province. The adviser said that new tourism spots should be developed in the province which could not be identified earlier. He added that the country has great tourism potential which should be commercially exploited.
