Assault on labourer sparks outrage

JHELUM:

Influential individuals allegedly subjected a poor labourer to severe torture, stripped him naked, filmed the act and reportedly sexually assaulted him at gunpoint in Saroba village of Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan.

According to sources, the victim, Kashan, submitted a written application to the police stating that he was abducted at gunpoint by the village's influential patwari Khadim Girdawar, his son Umar Khadim, along with Mohsin Khan, Ausaf and Tausif. He said the accused took him to their dera where Malik Khadim, his son and other accomplices subjected him to severe torture. Kashan alleged that he was stripped naked and beaten with iron rods, leaving marks on his body.

He further claimed that he was sexually assaulted at gunpoint and that the attackers recorded a video of him while he repeatedly begged for forgiveness. The victim has appealed to the District Police Officer to bring those responsible to justice and provide him with justice.
