‘Clean Turbat’ campaign to be launched 

Campaign to be supervised by the municipal committees of district Kech

QUETTA: Authorities have decided to start a special cleanliness campaign ‘Let’s clean Turbat’ at 18 union councils of Turbat. This was decided in a meeting – chaired by Kech Deputy Commissioner Khuaja Zeeshan Sikandar – regarding cleanliness, traffic flow, anti-encroachment campaigns, usage of plastic bags and other important issues of Turbat and other areas of Kech district. Kech additional deputy commissioner, assistant director local government, chief officers of municipal corporations and other officials attended the meeting. The campaign will be supervised by the municipal committees of district Kech that will report to the deputy commissioner on a daily basis. The meeting also reviewed the ongoing anti-encroachment drive. The deputy commissioner directed chief officers of each town committee to expedite the operation against illegal settlements. The committee also emphasised reducing plastic bags from the city.
